This Tatuaje Havana VI Nobles came in a Pete Johnson Collection sampler purchaed from Famous Smoke Shop. It's an all-Nicaraguan blend with an attractive and oily Colorado-hued wrapper. The triple cap is superb and clipped-off perfectly, followed by a nice, easy draw.

Pairing it up with a glass of Smoking Loon Pinot Noir, the pre-light had that wonderful earthy-cocoa flavor I normally associate with Padron cigars. But once lit, it was nothing like that at all.

ACT I: The cigar started out with a smooth, medium-bodied character. The smoke was especially creamy with a mostly earthy-woody flavor underpinned by some toasty-nutty notes.

ACT II: By the 2-inch mark the cigar had changed-up to a much more full-bodied smoke. The core flavors were still there, but now heavier and spicier with a note of sweetness in the mix. Another impressive feature of this cigar was the burn. The ash was firm, flawless, and held on for at least an inch between ashing.

ACT III: In the final two inches, the cigar held-up nicely even after an unexpected re-light. The spiciness picked-up somewhat, but the smoke remained creamy, woody and spicy with that little glimmer of sweetness. Not a complex cigar IMO, but really solid, and left me wanting more, though I might opt for a single malt on the next go-round.

The Tatuaje Havana VI cigars have been compared to the classic Cuban cigars in flavor, and I can see now where that comparison comes from. Highly recommended for the full-bodied fan.

I was pretty excited after this purchase, I was told (based on my likes) that I should like it. To start off, the first inch or so was harsh and smokey. To be honest I was ready to give it up - but I held on and I'm actually glad I did. The last 3/4 of the cigar ranged from good right up to fantastic. The closer I got to the end the more intense the spice flavor got. I was actually disappointed when it was done (smoked almost to the very end). I'm going to pick up another next time I'm out and let it age in my humidor for a bit. If I can get a full smoke like the last half of this one - I will be buying a box.

There are a lot of great cigars out there, and it's often hard to decide what to spend your hard earned cash on, especially when we all have our tried and true favorites.

I tried this baby from a recommendation, and I'm glad I did. This is a medium strength Cuban killer that has depth and character. Pepin makes some outstanding cigars, and this is no exception. Medium strength and full flavor is what I love, and Tatuaje delivers....even if I have a hard time pronouncing the name.

Burn was not perfect yet the construction held this up ok - 1 ash fell off about halfway through. The taste was very good. It's what I would call a full-flavored low-strength cigar. The flavor was solid but not overpowering; dark and pleasant, mild all the way through, heating up only at the nub.
