NEWARK, OH - Ohio's smoking ban has exempted private clubs, but there's fine print to read. Regardless of the club's status, if there are employees, the establishment becomes "off-limits" for smokers. That is exactly the situation the American Legion has found itself in. What was always a safe retreat for those who fought for American rights to relax, socialize, drink, and smoke at their leisure, has now become an environment where smoking is no longer acceptable or permitted.
