Non-smokers may be breathing easier since Michigan's workplace smoking ban took effect May 1. But some metro Detroit bar owners say the ban has had a notable negative impact on their businesses.
Nick Kyprianides, owner of Kick Ass Sports Bar in Warren, told the Macomb Daily that he saw an 80-percent drop in business during the smoking ban's first day. While a couple bar owners who talked with the paper said they haven't been affected by the ban, others said they've seen a decrease in bar tabs and tips...story continues here
