PITTSBURGH, PA - Recommended amendments have received the approval of Pittsburgh City Council, and as of January 4, 2007, when the ban goes into effect, certain establishments will have the status of being exempt. Businesses which bring in less than 10% of their revenue from food, and which have a staff of less than 10, will not have to shun people who wish to light up. In addition to this ordinance, which is being referred to as "10/10," special events by volunteer organizations have also received exemption.
