ORMOND BEACH, FL -- Smoke 'em if you got 'em, but not in the partly enclosed courtyard at the Starbucks on West Granada Boulevard.
About a week ago, blue signs appeared in the partly outdoor seating area of the worldwide coffee giant's outlet warning customers that smoking at the tables is prohibited.
"Be aware!" the sign says. "Smoking is prohibited in an enclosed indoor workplace."
Seated at a handful of tables, a few people said they were pleased to see the area go suddenly smoke-free. Smokers, naturally, felt like fish out of water. The reactions, like the lattes and macchiatos offered inside, varied from person to person.
