PHOENIX, AZ - The spread of smoking bans across the nation is about to touch Arizona. Beginning May 1st, the voter approved smoking ban will take effect, and the ashtrays will be put away (those inside anyhow.) When it comes to lighting up at an establishment whether it be a bar or otherwise, smokers will have to keep at least 20 feet between themselves and the establishment. The plan for enforcement is for county contractors, but in addition it will be included when health inspectors perform their routine inspections.
