NATO has sent a letter to J.W. Marriott, Jr., the CEO of Marriott International, criticizing the company for its discriminatory policy that bans smoking in all of the company's 2,300 hotels in the United States and Canada while continuing to allow smoking in some 500 Marriott branded hotels in other countries. The policy also "criminalizes" adults who do smoke in a Marriott property hotel room by charging them a room cleaning fine of $200 to $300. View letter here.
