Patrons of local pubs who enjoy a smoke with their brew will no longer be able to indulge in both at the same time. Not in public places anyway. Beginning in July, the U.K. will put into effect a nationwide ban on smoking in all workplaces, pubs, and restaurants. Hotels will have the option, though voluntary, of creating space for its smoking customers. This trend is spreading like wildfire in Europe with many nations taking heed.
