WESTON -- Despite sharing similar fears about a local smoking ban, bar owners in the village of Weston say such a ban would affect businesses differently.
They provided estimates to a village committee Tuesday of how much business they predict they would lose.
• Kluck's Saloon, 6404 Highway J
Owner Mark Kluck estimated that about 25 percent of his customers smoke, and that business could decline by about 20 percent.
• Dale's Weston Lanes, 5902 Schofield Ave.
Dale Elliott, who owns Dale's Weston Lanes and other bowling establishments throughout the state, said about 15 percent of his Weston customers are smokers and that he could lose between 10 percent and 15 percent of his business during the first two years.
