(
Cigar Rights of America)
On Monday, November 17, 2008, the Dallas City Council will be meeting to draft further provisions to the proposed smoking ban. This is an OPEN MEETING and CRA urges all CRA members and cigar enthusiasts located in the Dallas area to attend and make a difference.
Where: Dallas City Hall (Council Briefing Room 6-ES)
When: Monday, November 17, 2008 at 4:00 PM
Questions: Call John Barton at (972) 679-5244
The proposed smoking ban in Dallas includes provisions that would OUTLAW the ability to enjoy a fine cigar in several areas:
- BARS (INCLUDING CIGAR BARS)
- OUTDOOR PATIOS OF RESTAURANTS
- WITHIN 15 FEET OF THE ENTERANCE TO PUBLIC BUILDINGS
Boston's director of public health, Dr. Barbara Ferrer, says she wants to "de-normalize" smoking and "Ideally, I'd like to say by 2025 that we don't have anybody smoking."
We also urge you to write a letter to Dallas Mayor Leppert and City Council Members.
