NATO: FDA seeking to regulate cigars

MINNEAPOLIS -- This week, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has published a notice in the Federal Register that the agency intends to adopt a rule that would subject cigars to the regulations under the Family Smoking Prevention & Tobacco Control Act passed by Congress and which took effect in June 2009, the National Association of Tobacco Outlets (NATO) said in the latest issue of the NATO E-News Bulletin. This law already allows the FDA to regulate cigarettes, roll-your-own and smokeless tobacco products under the FDA regulatory law...story continues here
