LOUISVILLE, KY - Just minutes after the first citywide ban on smoking took effect, complaints of violations came rolling in. The newly enacted smoking ban prohibits people from lighting up in any public building, including bars & restaurants. Bingo halls are considered a public building and therefore are off limits, as well, for those who want to enjoy one of their beloved smokes. It didn't take long for authorities to begin receiving an abundance of calls alerting them of smoking violations, many of them occurring at bingo halls. Sunshine Bingo was accused of selling ashtrays for a dollar to anyone who wanted to smoke. Representatives from the bingo hall explained they were simply selling collectables and can't control what people do with them after the purchase has been made.
