BALTIMORE, MD - Smoking may be prohibited in all public place within the city of Baltimore in the future. The initial issue was brought before a Baltimore City Council committee where it was approved, thus sending it forward through the motions. From this point it will go before the full Council, where it's expected to receive approval within a month. Under the proposed ordinance, cigar bars, outdoor seating areas of restaurants, private clubs and certain tobacco shops can apply for a waiver in order to be deemed exempt.
