As the war against terrorism battles-on, sending cigars to the troops has become a regular practice among cigar retailers and private citizens alike. Recently, some Famous Smoke Shop retail store customers teamed-up with the Easton, PA cigar store by sending "care packages" to several units stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The packages were filled to the brim with cigars, but food and other much-needed items like coffee, chocolate, etc., were also part of the effort. Fortunately, they arrived in time for Christmas, and the following message was sent to "Big Dave" Reiner, one of the donors, via CigarPass.com, who passed it along to Famous Smoke Shop retail store manager, Tim Carr. It's a great example of what happens when you take "the spirit of the Holidays to heart and go the extra mile.
David,
I was completely floored by the packages you and your regulars provided. They were absolutely incredible. I can't thank you enough for your kindness and generosity. It appears as though you've thought of everything. There's nothing better than an evening of fine cigars, superior coffee, and chocolate when they are shared with friends. I hope to make it to your neck of the woods some day to offer a proper thanks.
I'll post pics as I take them. I'll be on the road most the next couple of weeks so I should be able to distribute your fine cigars throughout Afghanistan pretty quickly.
Again, thanks to you and your customers!!!
Cheers & Happy Holidays,
Tony [Brych]
