New downtown cigar bar concept may go up in smoke

Yes, smoking has been banned from all Kansas City restaurants.

But the new Qudos - wine/cognac/cigar bar - plans to encourage it by offering a "sunroom, patio" where customers can light up.

The operation is set to open in the next couple of weeks at 1114 Grand Blvd.

The main room has cushy leather seats and loveseats, along with a bar area. Cigar scenes from old movies will be shown on wide screen TVs while customers chow down on appetizers and entrees.
