The governor is expected to approve the bill, as historically, Nevada's governors rarely veto legislation approved by the State Legislature.
As smoking will again be allowed in convention centers, your trade association will move forward with negotiating space for the Annual Convention & International Trade Show for 2011. IPCPR already has contracted space for the 2009 and 2010 trade shows in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
IPCPR and CAA lobbyists worked with the state's and Las Vegas' Convention and Visitors' Bureau representatives in securing this important exemption. We look forward to the show returning to Las Vegas in 2011.
