NEWPORT, United Kingdom — Miguel Angel Jimenez is enjoying his fine wine, big cigars and the knot in his stomach.
The nerves are the only thing different from a normal week on tour, although the Spaniard is happy to be feeling them on the eve of the Ryder Cup. He says it helps to stir his emotions that are so critical to playing in the most tense team event in golf.
"All week you feel a knot in your stomach, and tomorrow is getting closer, and your knot is getting tight," Jimenez said on Thursday before the final day of practice at Celtic Manor.
