It’s not exactly healthy, but cigar smoking has become the ultimate “power nap” in Hong Kong, says Kenith Wong, regional director for Pacific Cigar Co., a cigar wholesaler and retailer. According to him, many Hong Kong businessmen like to make an afternoon stopover in a cigar lounge as a way to unwind. The experiential aspect of the cigar-smoking, more than the effects of the tobacco, is what attracts Asians to cigar-smoking, he says.
