Cigar aficionados can soon relax after a hard day's work at a newly opened outdoor patio, lounge and cigar shop.
Famous Smoke Shop in the Fort James II Industrial Park in Forks Township opened its lounge and retail areas last week. The bar and restaurant, named Leaf Cigar Bar & Lounge, is under construction and will open in about two weeks, Jeff Brown, special projects manager for Famous Smoke Shop, said.
A grand opening ceremony is scheduled Sept. 9.
The 60,000-square- foot facility on Mort Drive has replaced Famous Smoke Shop’s former Conroy Place warehouse, which measured less than 1,000 square feet. That building is being transformed into a distribution center for Upper Nazareth Township-based Martin Guitar.
"Our number one reason to move was we outgrew our space," Brown said. "Our offices were very compact, people were on top of people. We needed a bigger space to store our cigars."
