The highly anticipated annual Pro Cigar Festival, sponsored by the Dominican cigar manufacturers’ trade association (Pro Cigar), recently concluded with several of the Festival’s most memorable events.
Industry leaders and other attendees were treated to a tour of Altadis U.S.A.’s acclaimed Tabacalera de García factory in La Romana where a number of the world’s most highly rated and sought-after cigars are made. The tour was led by renowned master cigar maker José Seijas, who is the creative force behind such legendary names as Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, H. Upmann, Trinidad and his own Seijas Signature Series, to name just a few.
As luck would have it, Tabacalera de García is located adjacent to the world-class Casa de Campo resort. Golfers in the group got to enjoy a round at the resort’s famous Teeth of the Dog Course. In addition, fine food and spirits were enjoyed by all at the area’s superb restaurants, as were the great Tabacalera de García cigars. £
