Altadis U.S.A.'s flagship
Montecristo cigars brand was the exclusive cigar sponsor at one of Super Bowl Week's hottest events: Moves magazine's exclusive, invitation only Super Bowl Party 2009. NFL stars Ray Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens and Reggie Bush of the New Orleans Saints hosted the spectacular event, which turned out to be one of the most sought-after tickets around. It took place at The Venue Club in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area.
Guests at the gala were treated to Montecristo Classic cigars. Handmade at the famed Tabacalera de García factory in the Dominican Republic with tobaccos hand-selected and aged over a period of years, the intricate and complex Montecristo Classic is the ultimate Montecristo, once again raising the bar for cigar quality.
Attendees included an A-list of celebrities and sports figures including Kim Kardashian, Dwight Freeney, Nick Mangold, Warren Moon, Evander Holyfield, Michael Strahan, Warrick Dunn, Shannon Sharpe, Eric Dickerson and other prominent figures. Sports Illustrated covered the event, which featured, in addition to the Montecristos, a sushi bar, wine room and multiple dance floors. Celebrities held court at tables surrounding the dance floors. By midnight the entire club was packed, making it almost impossible not to brush up against naked models with body-painted Kurt Warner and Reggie Bush jerseys. All in all, it was a dazzling affair that those who attended will not soon forget. £
