When La Gloria Cubana Reserva Figurados® debuted in 2004, the cigars met with critical acclaim. Retailers and consumers jumped on the bandwagon, making the collection an overnight success. This October, Cigar Master Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, Jr. will release two new frontmarks, in both natural, and for the first time,
Maduro varieties.
Felicias Natural and Felicias Maduro is a 4 5/8" x 49 cigar which will be available at retail for a suggested price of $5.50 per cigar, or $110 for a box of 20 cigars. Regalias Perfectos Natural and Regalias Perfectos Maduro is a 6 ¼" x 57 cigar which will cost $8.50 per cigar, or $170 for a box of 20 cigars.
The soon-to-be-released Maduro varieties are dressed in Connecticut Broadleaf, while the new natural varieties are wrapped who the same sun-grown Ecuadoran Sumatra as the existing cigars in the Reserva Figurados collection. Bound with four-year old Nicaraguan tobacco, and filled with a Dominican and Nicaraguan blend, La Gloria Cubana Reserva Figurados cigars derive their distinctive taste from a special " cedar aging" process perfected by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, Jr. The cigar's components are aged together in specially-designed cedar bins, for a minimum of three months. After being handcrafted by only two "grade 7" master cigar rollers selected by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, Jr., the cigars are boxed and aged for three more months.
Together, the blend and cedar aging process create an exceptional taste evident at the first draw of La Gloria Cubana Reserva Figurados cigars. Distinctively rich and spicy on the palate, the collection speaks of balance and complexity, a cornerstone of the La Gloria Cubana® collection of cigars.
La Gloria Cubana Reserva Figurados are packaged in an exquisite mahogany box which features the signature "EPC" oval on the lid, and the La Gloria Cubana "Lady and Cherubs" logo on the inner lid.
