The La Floridita Limited Edition is an exclusive cigar made by Nestor Plasencia for Famous Smoke.
The wrapper leaves are finely veined and dark brown with a slight mottling of colors. The cigars I sampled had a firm feel with no soft spots. The wrapper gave off a mild tobacco scent with there was a distinct cedar and tobacco aroma from the foot.
Once clipped, the cigars had a firm, easy
draw. The pre-light flavor brought forth more cedar and tobacco.
As I lit the samples, the draw remained easy with only a slight bit of resistance. The cigars created a satisfying amount of smoke with each puff. They burned evenly with no need for touch ups.
The La Floridita's smoke was very cool and smooth. Even exhaling through my nose, there was little to no spice sensation. I would classify this blend as a mild strength, medium bodied cigar. I picked up on solid tobacco flavors with a hint of cedar on the finish. This flavor profile was consistent throughout the entire smoking session.
My overall thoughts on the La Floridita Limited Edition blend are that the cigar is a good, solid performer. I could see this blend used as a move up for someone who has been smoking milder, Connecticut Shade wrapped cigars and looking for a change of pace. This would also be a good introductory cigar for someone just starting out.
