General Cigar Lit up Phoenix throughout Big Game XLII Weekend

General Cigar's participation in several A-list parties had Phoenix smoking throughout the Big Game weekend.

A football star-studded party hosted by Octagon served as a kick off to the "super" weekend. Held at a sprawling private estate, the event featured a swanky Club Macanudo Lounge which was, by all accounts, a highlight of the party. John Elway, Ronnie Lott, Reggie Williams, Marcus Trufant and Marshawn Lynch were just a few of the football greats who smoked from the selection of Macanudo and Cohiba.

For the sixth straight year, General Cigar sponsored Franco Harris' Immaculate Reception and Fundraiser.  The event was hosted by Franco (who's incidentally a devoted fan of Punch cigars) and Lydell Mitchell.  Current and former NFL greats including Jerome Bettis, Bill Romanowski and many, many others were among the attendees. World-renowned jazz artist Allan Harris feted Franco's crowd as they enjoyed complimentary Macanudo, Cohiba, La Gloria Cubana and of course, Punch cigars.

General Cigar also sponsored Franco's golf tournament which helped to raise additional funds for Children's Miracle Network and Cure International, an organization which assists disabled children and their families in developing nations.

Washington Redskin VIPs were treated to a special private cigar and spirits tasting which was co-sponsored by General Cigar. Heavy hitters from some of the world's most respected corporations joined current and former Skins in sipping Scotch and smoking Macanudos during the exclusive affair.

In Other News…El Credito Cigar Factory is an "American Idol"
Last week's episode of "American Idol" had La Gloria Cubana fans cheering! The talent show held auditions in Miami and included the El Credito Cigar Factory in its montage of the most important destinations in the city. We couldn't agree more that no trip to Miami is complete without a visit to the home of La Gloria Cubana cigars. Ernesto Perez-Carrillo now wonders if he should have taken out his drumsticks and played a little for Simon, Randy and Paula. £
