EASTON, PA - On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 6 - 8, 2008, Famous Smoke Shop is expecting big crowds for their
Cigar Expo & BBQ Bash 2008, and the weatherman is predicting
hot and sunny days. As last year, the event will kick-off on Friday, June 6th with the Camacho Cup, a “best ball” golf tournament held at the Riverview Country Club in Easton. PA, where each player will receive a Camacho Cigars goodie bag. This year's tournament will also offer a $50,000 prize for any confirmed hole-in-one, plus prizes for “longest drive” and "closest to the hole."
Following the golf tournament on Friday, from 4:00 - 8:00 PM, Jose Blanco, Nestor Miranda, and Rene Castaneda of Miami Cigar will be at the Famous Smoke Shop Retail Store in Easton, PA hosting a La Aurora Cigars herf where all Cigar Expo ticket holders will receive a free cigar and samples of Presidente beer.
More representatives from the top premium cigar manufacturers will be on-site at the store Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 - 5:00 PM to hand out samples of their cigars and chat with Expo attendees. Among those confirmed to appear are Rocky Patel, Jorge Padron, Christian Eiroa of Camacho cigars, Patrick Vivalo of 601 Cigars, Gene Arganese of Arganese cigars, Jonathan Drew of Drew Estate, and many others, including the CAO Flavourettes.
All Cigar Expo attendees will receive at least 40 free cigars, plus plenty of BBQ ribs, chicken, sides, beer, soda, and water. Over $40,000 in raffle prizes are expected to be awarded, too. Among the largest prizes to be raffled-off are two Jeep SUVs, plus trips to Honduras hosted by Rocky Patel, and trips to the Dominican Republic hosted by Gene Arganese.
With ticket sales now officially closed to the public, Famous is expecting over 300 attendees per day. However, anyone who does not have a ticket to the event is still welcome to come in and shop at the Retail Store where Cigar Expo brand specials will be honored; but only Cigar Expo ticket holders are eligible for a 10% discount on store purchases.
"We are really excited for this year's event," said Famous Smoke Shop Retail Store manager, Jeff Brown. "They're calling for sunny, warm weather, which is always a plus for outdoor events. With everything we have planned, I think we've really outdone ourselves."
