Four week campaign will feature cigars blended by Amilcar P. Castro
EASTON, PA - Just in time for two of the busiest holiday shopping days of the year, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Famous Smoke Shop has unleashed an unprecedented four week promotion featuring four editions made at Rocky Patel's Tavicusa S.A. by master blender, Amilcar P. Castro. The featured cigars include Rocky 1961, Patel Bros. In addition to promoting the cigars, another goal of the campaign is to introduce cigar smokers to Señor Castro who has worked alongside such distinguished master blenders as Pepin Garcia and Ernesto Perez-Carrillo. Born in Baez Las Villas, Cuba in 1973, Amilcar Perez Castro comes from a tobacco-growing and cigar making family. He entered the Cuban cigar business in1991, and by 1997 emigrated to Miami finding work at the La Gloria Cubana factory. In 2008 he set up shop in Estelí, Nicaragua and opened Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. Among the first cigars made there were the "Outstanding" 91-rated Rocky Patel 1961, followed by the critically-acclaimed Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary
cigars. Shortly afterward, Amilcar and Patel became partners in the Estelí operation.
