Famous Smoke Shop debuts three new cigars by "Pepin" Garcia

EASTON, PA -- These days, when cigar smokers see the name Don Jose "Pepin" Garcia associated with a new premium cigar, they pay close attention, and more often than not, they buy. To anyone who has been watching the trend, it's clear that Senor Garcia and his My Father Cigars factory in Esteli, Nicaragua have significantly impacted the increase in sales of Nicaraguan cigars.

Famous Smoke Shop, the nation's leading online retailer and cataloger of premium handmade cigars, recently released three new additions to their private label collection made under the direction of Don Pepin.

Following last year's release of the Famous Private Selection 70th Anniversary by Garcia Family cigars, comes the Famous Signature Series by Garcia Family cigars. It's the first in a new series of "Famous Signature" cigars that will also be produced by other high-profile cigar manufacturers. Presented in three frontmarks, Churchill (7" x 50), Torpedo (6½" x 52) and Robusto (5" x 50), the blend consists of Nicaraguan Esteli & Condega Criollo longfillers bound in a Nicaraguan Habano leaf plus an additional Ecuadorian Sumatra leaf, rolled in a dark, glossy, triple-capped Nicaraguan Habano wrapper. The cigar is medium to full-bodied with robust flavors of wood, spice and sweet tobacco. Suggested retail prices range from $120.00 to $130.00 per box.

Also new at Famous Smoke Shop are Siboney Reserve cigars. Made at the My Father factory, the selection is presented in a Churchill (7" x 50), Torpedo (6½" x 54) and Robusto (5" x 50) with a blend of Nicaraguan Jalapa and Condega Corojo longfillers, a Nicaraguan Criollo '98 binder, plus a Honduran Habano leaf rolled in plush Nicaraguan Habano Rosado wrappers with triple caps. These cigars offer a full-bodied smoke oozing with dark, woody flavors laced with light peppery notes on a long finish. Retail prices range from $100.00 to $106.00 per box.

Finally, there's Maroma Fuerte. This is the third release in Famous Smoke Shop's exclusive Maroma cigars series, the first from Don Pepin, and the most potent in strength. Using an 80/20 mixed-filler, or "Cuban Sandwich" blend of Nicaraguan Criollo and Habano Ligero tobaccos, the binder is also Nicaraguan, with a plush Ecuadorian Habano Rosado leaf for the capa. According to the website description Maroma Fuerte is "Highly recommended after you've had a full meal, unless you're the masochistic type." Suffice it to say the smoke is predominately spicy, yet very smooth, with bold flavors of dark wood and some cayenne pepper. The cigars are presented in three sizes, Churchill (7" x 48), Toro (6" x 50), and Robusto (5" x 50) with suggested list prices ranging from $60.00 to $64.00 per box.
