Western suburbs, IL — When 100,000 Cuban cigars are sentenced to incineration by way of blast furnace, you can bet it will cause some long faces out there among cigar smokers.
Seized by U.S. Customs agents over a two-week period earlier this month at O’Hare International Airport, the cigars were shipped from dealers in Europe and ordered online from customers throughout the United States. Cuban cigars have been embargoed since 1962.
