La Floridita Fuerte Cigars
Wrapper: Habano Viso
Binder: Nicaraguan Jalapa Habano
Filler: Nicaraguan & Honduran Habano
The La Floridita Fuerte, manufactured by Nestor Plasencia and available from Famous Smoke Shop, comes in four sizes: Robusto (5x50), Toro (6x50), Churchill (7x50) and Magnum (6x60)
The cigars are wrapped in a good looking, dark, naturally brown leaf. There are very few veins and the cigar looks very appealing.
The cigar feels firm to the touch with no discernable soft spots along the body. The wrapper felt smooth and had a well formed cap.
The wrapper also had a rich tobacco aroma while the foot gave off a nice berry scent. Once clipped, the pre-light draw brought forth more of that berry flavor. The draw was clear with perhaps a touch of resistance.
The samples I received all burned well and had firm, tight ashes. There was a good amount of thick smoke on each exhale.

The flavor profile for the La Floridita Fuerte started off with woody tobacco and a medium strength ‘peppery’ exhale. There was also some spice on the palate and a tingle on my tongue. Towards the second half, some sweetness comes into play, similar to the flavors I experienced on the pre-light draw. The final third brings a smooth coffee flavor that melds into the wood and sweetness from the first two thirds.
I smoked several samples of various vitolas at several humidity levels. I feel I got the most flavor and enjoyment of La Floridita Fuerte at the 70% humidity level, even though I enjoy a number of cigars at a lower humidity level.
I would categorize the La Floridita Fuerte as a medium to full strength cigar with full body. It was a very enjoyable smoke that went well with a dark roast coffee at any time of day.
