Cigar bars might become part of Nebraska’s culture. Lawmakers gave second-round approval to a measure Tuesday that would set standards for such operations.
Proponents of the bill said the specifications required to operate a cigar bar would likely limit such operations to a half-dozen or so, statewide.
A cigar bar would have to prove that at least 10 percent of its revenue comes from tobacco – but cigarette sales could not be included. It would also have to include a walk-in humidor and meet other criteria.
