Cigar Monster Deal

Arturo Fuente and Prometheus Intl. to replace Fuente Fuente OpusX BBMF Maduro, not included in 2007 Release of Opus22

Los Angeles - After shipping the 2007 release of Fuente Fuente OpusX for Cigar Family Charitable Foundation (also known as Opus22) to cigar connoisseurs all over the world, Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. and Prometheus International, Inc. have learned that FFOX BBMF Maduro was not included in the 2007 release.

The 2007 release is to include two FFOX BBMF's: one Natural and one Maduro. Instead, two FFOX BBMF Natural were packaged in the 2007 release.

Since 2004, Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. has been releasing Opus22 in order to raise fund for Cigar Family Charitable Foundation (CFCF). Prometheus International, Inc., who is the distributor of Opus22, has been donating all net profits from the sales proceeds to CFCF. After the sale of the 2007 release of Opus22, the total donation amount by Prometheus since 2004 will be over $400,000.00.

The 2007 release of Opus22 includes two FFOX BBMF's: one Maduro and one Natural. An unintentional human error was made in packaging the 2007 release of Opus22 during the rush to ship out the 2007 release in time for the holiday season.

Initially, the cigar collection of the 2007 release was to be same as that of 2006. However, a decision was made in the early summer of 2007 to add one FFOX BBMF Maduro. This is why both coffin boxes in the 2007 release of Opus22 are printed with FFOX BBMF rather than "FFOX BBMF "and "FFOX BBMF Maduro." The coffin boxes were produced before the decision to include the FFOX BBMF Maduro was made.

In addition to FFOX BBMF Maduro, another mistake was found. The coffin boxes for Fuente Fuente OpusX Scorpio are printed with FFOX Double Robusto. Double Robusto is the size of FFOX Scorpio and they should been printed with FFOX Scorpio.  The cigars inside of the coffins imprinted with FFOX Double Robusto are FFOX Scorpio.

The packaging process for Opus22 is quite elaborate and very time consuming. A total of 22 cigars in 12 different sizes have to be packaged in their own individual coffin boxes, which are then encased in the serial-numbered boxes. It takes about 6 months to produce the individual coffins and boxes for Opus22, and another month just to package the cigars. You can also find detailed information on the 2007 release of Opus22 on the Fuente Aged Selection website.

If you wish to receive the missing FFOX BBMF Maduro, please contact the retail tobacconist from whom you purchased the 2007 release of Opus22, Prometheus will ship the replacement FFOX BBMF Maduros to its retail dealers in the second week of January 2008.

In 2001, the Fuente and Newman families, who are the longtime business partners in the cigar industry, started Cigar Family Charitable Foundation (www.cf-cf.org) to help the impoverished children in Dominican Republic. Because the Fuente and Newman families pay for all administrative expenses such as accounting and legal, 100% of the donations benefits the children and their families served by Cigar Family Charitable Foundation.

Since its launching in 2004, Opus22 has become the ultimate cigar collection for cigar connoisseurs all over the world. During the holiday season of every year, 500 boxes of Opus22 are shipped to retail tobacconists in Asia and Europe as well as those in the U.S.

Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. and Prometheus International, Inc. would like to thank retail tobacconists and their customers for their continuing support, which has made such a difference in many children's lives in Dominican Republic. £
