Home News A "Thank you" message from beautiful downtown Kandahar

December 22, 2011
To: All members of the LACC I can now share a secret I've been keeping! Eager to honor our loyalty to civic works, Long Ashes Cigar Club's Kandahar Koughers Cigar Club care package 2.0 arrived safely in Afghanistan last week! Kandahar Koughers is a cigar club that meets once a month -- usually every last Friday -- in Afghanistan. Due to their schedule and dearth of products, their club relies heavily on donated cigars for its herfs. This being Long Ashes Cigar Club's second care package since August, we feel privileged to once again assist the brave men and women who form Kandahar Koughers Cigar Club.
This demonstration of gratitude toward our heroes bested care package 1.0. This one consisted of an astounding 155 cigars, thirty Montecristo hats, and a personal word of encouragement for our heroes. Additionally, Jason and Walter Bowden, owners of Creative Designs LLC, supplemented our cigar portion of the package with countless everyday items that are scarce in Afghanistan: deodorant, various snacks, drink mixes -- you name it, Walter included it. He also sent gratis duffel bags and hats, all embroidered with the KKCC logo. All in all, Walter shipped thirteen large priority boxes to the brave men and women defending our freedom. Long Ashes Cigar Club would like to thank Paul Randon of Altadis U.S.A. and Cory Reinhard of Famous Smoke Shop for their incredible, incalculable contributions to our care package.Furthermore, this marks the second time Cory Reinhard has supported Long Ashes Cigar Club in as many care packages for our troops. Long Ashes Cigar Club considers itself extraordinarily lucky to have Paul and Cory among its members. Again, we thank Paul and Cory for joining us in this endeavor, and we thank Jason and Walter for asking Long Ashes Cigar Club to participate with them in this undertaking for our troops. This marks the culmination of Long Ashes Cigar Club's 2011 goodwill:
- $187 for the Montecristo Relief Organization
- $187 for the Forsyth County Humane Society
- $394 for the Hospice House of Davidson County
- $100 for the Wounded Warrior Project
- August care package to Kandahar Koughers Cigar Club (nearly 80 cigars)
- Holiday care package to KKCC (155 cigars & other items)
Keep up the good work and hope to see all of you at our Long Ashes Cigar Club events in 2012! Merry Christmas! Michael Kittner Long Ashes Cigar Club Winston-Salem, NC * * *
