(Los Angeles, CA) -- JM Tobacco’s 2012 national advertising campaign kicks off with the January issues of several tobacco-related national publications. They will run in all six issues of the magazines.
The full-page ad’s theme is “Your Daily Choice,” emphasizing the budget-friendliness of 100% select long-filler tobacco, hand-rolled JM’s Dominican premium cigars. It targets today’s frequent smokers, who eek quality and satisfaction in substitutes for their former, high-priced favorites. Boxes of the brand appear, in its three different wrappers...from left to right, the original Sumatra, the Maduro, and the Corojo. For purposes of ad composition, the cigar in Connecticut Shade wrapper is not shown.

It appears so. Joe Raya, owner of Charleston's The Gin Joint, has proceeded to the final stages of Woodford Reserve's competition to find the best Manhattan with his recipe including tobacco-infused bourbon.

By Bob "The Rev" Meyn
The Rev has been smoking cigars (good ones at least – not the ones we used our fake I.D.'s to buy from the Time-Saver when we were 15) for his entire adult life. Like most folks, I started small, buying a few cigars at a time, but eventually I started buying boxes and bundles, found Cigar Auctioneer and hit on ALL my low-ball bids one week, etc., etc., and ran into the problem common to most of the good folks kind enough to read this article: where in heck am I gonna properly store all these wonderful cigars?

...The Honorable Saxby Chambliss of Georgia By J. Glynn Loope, Executive Director | Cigar Rights of America
Just before H.R. 1639 was filed, and well before S. 1461 existed, a United States Senator from Georgia wrote a letter to Commissioner of the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, Margaret Hamburg.
With that letter, in collaboration with S. 1461 co-sponsor Senator Lamar Alexander, the Senator said, “As Members who represent premium cigar manufacturers and retailers, we wanted to bring to your attention the unique nature of the premium cigar industry, including its distinctive culture, artisan tradition, and business model.”

North Devon Journal (U.K.)
WITH his reputation for being a somewhat intense method actor, I'm half expecting the interview with Viggo Mortensen for his latest role as Sigmund Freud to take place with me perched on a psychiatrist's couch.
Luckily, he's not taking things that far today. Instead, the silver-haired, handsome 53-year-old is happy for me to ask the probing questions (in the comfort of a normal chair) and he's more than willing to talk.

By Lee Moran | Daily Mail Online (UK) President John F Kennedy ordered an aide to buy him as many Cuban cigars as he could just hours before he authorised the U.S. trade embargo - which subsequently made them illegal.
Kennedy asked his head of press and fellow cigar smoker Pierre Salinger to obtain '1,000 Petit Upmanns' on February 6, 1962, so he could have them in his hands before they were deemed contraband.
