This is one of those stories that actually happened by accident. I was looking for a cigar to smoke over the Mother's Day weekend, and while rummaging through my humidor I came across an Alec Bradley Overture Robusto from a "Best of Alec Bradley Cigars sampler" I bought a few months ago on CigarMonster.com.
Let me start here by saying, though I'm a big fan of the brand, when they first arrived a few years ago, as I remember the Overtures, they were quite good but a little too peppery for me, so I never returned to them. Nevertheless, the blend is very similar to the AB Tempus in flavor, complexity, and strength. And though I do enjoy the Tempus series a lot, I just felt the Overture was missing something for me.

JEFFREY Eugenides is skulking around outside what he calls the only den of iniquity in downtown Princeton. It's a cigar shop called a Little Taste of Cuba, which is slightly ironic given that you can't buy a Romeo Y Julieta there because of the US embargo on trade with Havana.
