Q: I just got some
VSL Honduran cigars and have been enjoying them, but the ash seems rather flaky. I've never seen that much spread on a cigar ash before. What causes that?

A: Too much magnesium in the soil tends to make cigar ashes white and flaky. Sometimes nitrogen can add to it as well, but not as much.
