Q: What is the black thick sticky stuff that sometimes comes out of the
cap of my cigars? Is this a problem with my technique, or the quality of cigars, or perhaps the temperature outside? I just want to know how to correct this problem because it's taking all the enjoyment from my smoke.

A: That sticky stuff is tobacco juice, mixed in with a little tar and resin. It tends to present itself by drawing too hard and too often on your
cigars, so check your technique. Some cigars are just naturally more juicy than others, too. Try letting your cigar rest for a minute between smokes. You may find it will smoke cooler and have more flavor in the long run.
