Q: What does the lettering "y Cia" on cigar bands stand for? I've seen it on different bands for different cigars so, it must not be a specific trademark, and my Spanish is not fluent...just curious.

A: Good question. After all, not everyone speaks Spanish -
yet. ;-) Translated, "y Cia" simply means, "and Company." So, for example, "Cifuentes y Cia" is "Cifuentes and Company," which can be found on the bands of all Partagas
cigars.
