The RH is too damn high!

Jimmy McMilllanQ: Why is it that I have problems with my CAO Brazilia cigars unraveling? I keep my humidity between 74 and 78. It's the only brand I have this problem with. Is my only solution is to stop ordering them?
- C.T. in Conway, Arizona

A: Do not stop ordering them. The CAO Brazilias are awesome cigars. Your real problem is that your RH (relative humidity) is way too high. I'm surprised that all of your cigars aren't doing the same.

A good RH, especially for thick Maduro wrappers should be closer to 66%. Even more surprising is that the weather in Arizona is generally very dry. Perhaps you're overcompensating. I would remove the humidifier from your humidor and let the cigars settle down to at least 69% before trying to smoke another one.
