Q. When you purchase a box of cigars, do you put the box in the humidor and leave it closed, or should you take the cigars out of the box? I have one of those bookcase humidors that can accommodate the box.
- Ronald L.
A. You can go either way. At the very least, unseal the box. If the cigars come without cello (IOW, "cabinet style"), depending on your humidor's headroom, you can place the entire box, open or closed, in the humidor. Otherwise, if you really need the space, remove the
cigars from their factory boxes. The important thing is having the proper humidity & temperature levels and an adequate amount of air flow.
