Q:
Hi Gary, I have a question. How come it seems like 80 or 90 percent of
cigars are usually on the milder to medium side. The strong and full flavored ones seem a bit scarce. Is it preference or is it because the
ligero leaf is not as abundant. I love a full flavor cigar, and I can get them any time, I like but it seems they are most always the more costly cigars. You hardly ever see them on a daily or weekly special. If you can offer any input on this matter I sure would appreciate it.
Thanks,
David J. in Sand Springs, OK
A: Actually, that's not true. There are as many full-flavored/full-bodied cigars as any other. OK, there may be more mild to medium brands if you count
machine-made cigars. There is also no shortage of ligero leaf; it's the quality of the leaf that matters. True,
some full-flavored cigars are more costly, but they usually have longer-aged tobaccos, superior construction, etc. If you want to find some excellent full-bodied cigars at reasonable prices, check out
