Q. Why are the prices in the magazines so different from the stores? For example, I saw a
Fuente Fuente OpusX cigar published at around $11. I can't find them for less than $25.

A. Good question. First, note that the cigar prices shown in the magazines are the "Suggested Retail Price," so your point is well taken. However, in most cases, the store and online price is usually lower than the SRP.
Secondly, the more popular Arturo Fuente cigars in general are hard to come by as it is. As a result, many B&M stores often charge premium prices on Fuentes, ESPECIALLY on OpusX, due to the incredibly high demand. Moreover, some local cigar stores purposely limit the number of OpusX cigars their customers can purchase so all of their customers can have a fair shot at them.
Personally speaking, although some OpusX models offer a mighty fine smoke, I've always felt these cigars were generally overrated. Maybe if consumers would stop paying the jacked-up prices, the stores would be forced to lower them.
