Q. Been smoking one or two cigars a week going on five years. My wife always comments on how bad they smell. Have tried several different of cigar makers. My question is does anyone produce a good smoke that does not smell too bad?

A. Sure, there are plenty of cigars that have a great aroma. Of course, aroma is such a subjective thing, your wife might not like anything you choose.
So, if aroma is really that big an issue, you may want to move to something like ACID cigars or Drew Estate Natural cigars, which give off some very appealing floral and herbal aromas. Due to the way they're blended, Natural would be closer to a "traditional" cigar.
If you want to stay with a traditional cigar, cigars with good Sumatra wrappers have a nice aroma like the Rocky Patel Vintage 1992. African Cameroon-wrapped cigars also have a sweet aroma like the wrapper on most Arturo Fuente cigars, as well as cigars with well-aged U.S. Connecticut Shade, such as that found on the Davidoff and La Auroroa Preferidos Connecticut cigars.
Guess you'll just have to experiment and hope the right cigar will appeal to both you and your wife. That's the best I can do.
