Like cello, tubes are used primarily to protect the cigar.
If left unhumidified, they will only keep your cigars fresh for about
a week. If you plan on putting them in your
humidor, either remove
them entirely from the tube or place them in the
box with the
cap
off to allow moist air to circulate into the tube. Leave the cap in
the box, too, in
case you decide to take the cigar out with you.
