As I peek at my calendar and see that 2011 is now more like hours away than days, I wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks for another great year. CigarAdvisor.com has come a long way, and thanks to our Facebook page, has made a lot of new friends, too. I'm always a bit nervous when it comes to thanking large numbers of people, because someone inevitably gets left out. So here goes, and if you were left out, believe me, it wasn't intentional.
First I'd like to thank You, the readers, who have stuck by CigarAdvisor and kept it going. Thanks also for your comments and emails - the compliments
and the constructive critiques. Thanks also for subscribing to our newsletter. I've tried to make it as informative and entertaining as possible. Speaking of which, thanks to those of you who also contributed your cigar tips and "Cigar Sightings" photos.
Thanks to all of the cigar reviewers and contributors: Robert "The Reverend Hurricane" Meyn, RobustoJoe, Tom Bullock, MM & JJ from Toasted
Foot, Barry Stein, Tom Ufer, Tom Johansmeyer, Gary Manelski, David "Doc" Diaz, Hayward Tenney, Didier Houvenaghel, Jerry King, Mark McGinty, Nick Wing, Frank Herrera, Walt White, Kurt Van Keppel, Jorge Armenteros, Tony Hyman, Wilfredo Irizarry, and Phil "Katmancross" Kohn.
Thanks to those of you who gave me interviews: Teresa Merchant (The Smoking Hot Cigar Chick), Lissette Perez-Carrillo, Janny Garcia, Yadi Gonzalez-Vargas, and Amilcar P. Castro.
Thanks to the people and manufacturers (alphabetically) who supplied me with cigars and accessory samples to review: David Blanco at Los Blancos Cigars; Ernesto & Ernie Perez-Carrillo of EPC Cigar Co;; Jonathan Drew; Abe Flores of Pinar Del Rio Cigars; Kinky Friedman & Little Jewford; Jameson Cigars; Jesus Fuego at Tabacos S.A.; John Gonzalez at My Father Cigars; Jon Huber at CAO; Nestor Miranda, Guillermo Leon, Jose Blanco, Rene Castañeda & Jason Wood at Miami Cigar & Co.; Oliva Cigars; Eddie Ortega and Erik Espinosa of 601 Cigars; William C. Finally, thanks to my boss, Arthur Zaretsky at Famous Smoke Shop, for having the vision to start CigarAdvisor.com in the first place and entrusting me to its care.
Here's wishing you all a happy, healthy, and successful New Year. See you in 2011.
Sincerely, your humble "cigar advisor,"
G~ K.
