box-pressed)
Strength: Full
Wrapper: Proprietary Connecticut-grown Corojo
Filler: Dominican
Piloto Cubano, Honduran, Nicaraguan

Presentation: Box of 25 cigars
(
Note: This review is based on smoking 2 samples)
Appearance and feel: Gorgeous, even tone with a neat box pressing.
Paired with: Spring water
Draw: Decent. A bit tight on the first sample, very easy on second.
Pre-light flavor: Not much flavor in either sample.
Toasting & Light: Cigar toasted and lit evenly across on both.
First puff: Extremely creamy and smooth with slight hints of nuts.
Retrohale: Very peppery. Whew!
Base flavors: Creamy, smooth, earthy and a little nutty with some toffee-like flavors.
Aroma: Sweet, not too overpowering
Ash/Burn: In the first half inch the ash was sharp, firm and marbled in color. The burn was pretty even, and the first ash fell off at about the 3/4-inch mark on both samples.
General Observations: Notes of pepper and cream in the first inch. Into the second inch, I picked up a little nutmeg flavor. For some reason I expected this cigar to be a little sweeter. Into the second half, both
cigars really started to sizzle with more spice, dark tobacco flavors, and a trace of espresso in the mix. My second sample turned bitter in the last act, but the first tasted good down to an inch.
Summary: Sort of mixed emotions here. I have a feeling this cigar met all of General's expectations in terms of what they wanted to do with the 10th Anniversary
blend. I also feel this cigar has a lot going for it, but, speaking from personal preference, I think I like the original Ecuadorian
Sumatra leaf better. Definitely a must-smoke for Punch fanatics and those who like a spicy, complex smoke with a very full flavor.
