Recently, I had an Oliva Cain F Nub 460 in the lighter natural Habano wrapper. Like the original Oliva Cain cigars, the F series is made with an all-Nicaraguan "straight ligero" blend, but uses a little more Estelí ligero and a little less Jalapa to give it more ZING.

Usually, when a manufacturer assigns an "F" to a line extension, it stands for
fuerte, or Spanish for "strong." Though this cigar lives up to its "F" nomenclature, I didn't find the smoke exceptionally strong or overpowering. Actually, it so smooth it that if I had to testify to the cigar's strength, I'd say it was more medium in body. Even the 60 gauge ring, which is not my usual preference, felt comfortable.
The smoke is thick and creamy with base flavors that are herbal and woody. Down the road apiece, notes of mocha and sweet spices enter the picture with more intensity and a remarkable balance. Almost as remarkable was the ash; it just didn't want to let go, even with some light tapping on the inside of the ashtray. By the end, it left three 1-inch-plus nuggets in the bottom of the bowl.
Though the Oliva Cain F cigars are generally marketed to those who prefer extra-full-bodied fare, I think a novice cigar lover with a discriminating palate would enjoy taking a swing at this cigar that hits on all cylinders.
