Cigar of the Week: Alabao by Perdomo Robusto

The burn is clean exposing a firm grey marble ash, while the smoke is medium-bodied, full-flavored, and turns complex in the latter stages. Notes of cedar wood, almonds, sweet spices, espresso and cocoa keep your palate entertained during the journey, and the aroma enticing.

I suggest pairing the Alabao Robusto with rich coffee or espresso. Try using as little cream & sugar as possible, or none at all. The natural sweetness in the smoke melds perfectly with the rich flavor of dark premium coffee. The cigar is also flavorful enough to enjoy late in the day or after dinner with a good scotch or Tawny Port.

Highly recommended for newer smokers looking for a more flavorful step up from mild cigars at an affordable price, and a nice change of pace for veterans who want a cigar that’s less potent yet still full-flavored.
